The extreme right conservative Republicans in those two states, the States I live and shop in, have increased their attacks on the Trans community and the LGBQT+. These men and women claim to be Christians and follow what Christ taught.
They seem to have forgotten, conveniently I might add, the scripture John 13:34-35. It is an inconvenient scripture and statement one of the disciples directly attributed to Christ. But it is one that would alienate their big-money backers and the extreme of the party they count on to get elected and stay in power. It is the power they are concerned with solely.
So remember this
I recently had the privilege of being kicked out and banned from three different Theology Forums for supporting a more moderate stance. It started by pointing out that the Bible could not clearly have been written with the word Homosexual as part of it as that word was not even part of the English Lexicon, especially in the United States until the late 1960s or early 1970s.
Then I made the next error to the owner of these sites by saying I would not refuse mass or service towards anyone, even LBGQT+. I was told off and told that a Satanist like me would be rotten in hell so my opinion did not matter nor was it even needed anymore. I was removed and banned from the sites. I did at least get to send goodbyes to those that liked my posting and the daily scripture I posted. Funny side note, he was pissed that I used the NIV version of the Bible, and the one time I used his favorite and the only one he believes matters the 1611 KJV, but used the version that was taken from the actual KJV 1611 you can review and look at online that it is the Libray of the British Museum, he accused me of heresy. He lost it when I showed him where I got it from and the site and said I was using a forager. Why? It did not fit his agenda and how he was raised to believe.
A big lesson in how ultra-conservative evangelical Christians think and react.
Seek the Lord and His strength;
Seek His face evermore!
