Slavery was one of the things St. Patrick brought with him to Ireland

St. Patrick wore BLUE, not Green, cloaks and clothing

St

Patrick's Day celebrates the day he died

His real name was not Patrick; it was Maewyn Succat

Saint Patrick was never canonized as a Saint.

To drive the snakes out was impossible as snakes have never inhabited Ireland; it is supposedly a metaphor.

Thought

During the Vietnam War, there was a saying popular among some of the more hard-core soldiers: "Kill them all, let God sort them out." Today, while driving home from my favorite coffee shop, I noticed a church with the message on its sign: "Love them all, let God sort them out." I appreciate this twist on an old saying. It would make a great hat or something.
