"But God, who is rich in mercy, because of the great love he had for us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, brought us to life with Christ (by grace you have been saved), raised us up with him, and seated us with him in the heavens in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus."

"Jesus said to them, 'Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you; he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him. As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats me will live because of me. This is the bread which came down from heaven, not such as the fathers ate and died; he who eats this bread will live for ever."

"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. And these words which I command you this day shall be upon your heart; and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. And you shall bind them as a sign upon your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. And you shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates."

Thought for day
I saw a sign on a marquee board in front of a church. It was simple and to the point: “Jesus is Peace.” Two days later, under this sign hung a hastily made banner that said, “Know Peace or No Peace, the choice is yours.”
Think about those sayings. Now, in the desire for harmony,
replace Jesus with whatever deity you believe in and reverse the order with the
Know Peace first line and the Jesus line second.
If all people of all beliefs took this stance and could even
live up to it half the time, this world would be a far better place. We as a
species tend to have the mindset that being nice, being calm, and being
considerate of others is a signs of weakness. Part of this is that we have
always seen bullies and those who look at life from a hard viewpoint get ahead.
What we have never seen is them in their darkest hour
praying and asking forgiveness or seeing their fall when it ultimately comes.
So, because of this sterile view, we tend to believe that this is the only way
forward. All of the Clergy that have fallen get little press until the whole
community is called out on it.
There is only one conclusion in my humble opinion; there is
only peace, peace in the world, peace in the heart, or peace in your soul is through
God. In Christianity, Through Jesus and God.
