There is a force in the universe. It is not controlled by a single person because it is not made from a single person. It is made from all of us. It exists because all living things carry some form of spirit and their own spirituality. The force is neither good nor bad. It just IS. It is up to each of us to determine how we fit into it and what we put into the force, and what we take from it.
If we, as the human race, chose to do more good, all living things would benefit from it.
Many religions have spoken of this in many different ways, but the end result is always the same.
So, on this Fourth, let us all endeavor to add only good to the force that surrounds us.
